Mia Stella Chalk Mat
Dinner time will never be the same with these two-in-one mats. On one side you will have a revolutionary fabric chalkmat, which can be used for hundreds of games of tic-tac-toe, hangman, and spelling words. When dinner is ready, wipe down the chalkmat with a clean dry tissue or paper towel and flip it over for a colorful clean oilcloth placemat. The wait for dinner will never be dull again! Roll up the mat and tie it with the attached grosgrain ribbon and store for the next mealtime. How to care for your chalkcloth: This simple yet functional product has a superior writing surface upon which chalk glides and holds well. It is completely reusable and should be considered a sustainable product which will conserve paper use and save precious resources. Before using the Chalk Mat it is recommended to "season" its surface by rubbing the side of a piece of chalk (the common type made from calcium carbonate not the clay variety used by artists or the dustfree style - it has a polished surface which may scratch the Chalkc Mat across the whole surface, side to side, top to bottom. Then wipe off the chalk with a soft cloth or a dry sponge. Repeat process again. The Chalk Mat is now "cured" and ready for years of enjoyment. The Chalk Mat is erasable and a damp sponge may be used to completely renew. Latex type erasers work extremely well. Pieces of Chalk Mat are lightweight and portable compared to a chalkboard or slate. The Chalk Mat is best stored rolled and dry. It may be attached to hard surfaces with a vinyl compatible adhesive or attaching with a staple gun or tacks. Because of the mesh backing the Chalk Mat can be easily cut and sewn.
