In Japan They were imported from Netherlands in the Edo era and became famous. Because this glass bead looks like a dragonfly's (Tombo in Japanese) eye people started to call it Tombodama. (dama means ball)
All hand-made by Japanese professional artisan. Each one has its own beauty. Because it is made one by one each one is slightly diffrent from the picture.

How to make Tombobada??
1. Melt down the glass rod and roll up it with the iron-core to make unique pattern. (This process makes the beauty of Tombodama!)
